Thinking of buying a Parents Retreat?
Let's break it down for you
Our most popular offering is our one/two bedroom range which is ideal as a very comfortable Parents Retreat, sometimes called a Granny Flat. But how do you go about getting it into your backyard, here's a few tips for you to follow (please note, advice is general only).
Step 1. Speak to council or a town planner
This step is essential to firstly establish whether you can legally put a modular building in your backyard in your local council region, and also, what size limitations (if any) there are.
Step 2. Establish your budget
You may want to speak to a property valuer or a local real estate agent to ensure that your investment will give you the return you are wanting, whether increasing your house value or achieving the rental income amount you want. Generally speaking, a one or two bedroom Parents Retreat can vary from $80,000 through to $220,000, depending on finishes, size and transport/installation.
