Laserframe - Terminator Blue

Laserframe Terminator Blue is structural pine framing treated to hazard level H2-F for protection against termite attack and damage when used in applications south of the Tropic Of Capricorn. Repelling termites so that they are unlikely to use the frame and truss as a ‘highway’ to reach other parts of the building, Laserframe Terminator Blue is also resistant to European House Borer.

Coloured using a blue dye for ease of identification, lengths are also branded by way of an end tag or an inkjet stamp along the face or edge of the board. Laserframe Terminator Blue is treated with bifenthrin (synthetic pyrethroids), an organic insecticide used in common household applications such as head lice shampoos, citronella garden torches and fly spray. When used in framing Terminator Blue is effectively odourless without volatile fumes and is safe for humans and mammals.

Features & Benefits

  • Termite Resistant – Laserframe Terminator Blue is treated to Hazard Level H2-F for use in internal, above ground framing applications below The Tropic of Capricorn
  • Kiln dried for improved stability
  • Quality Assured – lengths individually graded for structural assurance
  • Compliant with Australian Standards
  • Renewable - produced in Australia from sustainably grown Australian plantation pine. Available as PEFC® certified upon request
  • Complies as a termite resistant timber as specified in the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
  • Low Maintenance – Little to no maintenance required after installation unlike other termite-resistant barrier systems
  • This product comes with a guarantee from Koppers.

Laserframe - Terminator Red

Laserframe Terminator Red is structural pine framing treated to hazard level H2 for protection against termite attack and damage in all areas of Australia, including high risk termite areas such as north of the Tropic of Capricorn where the larger, more destructive mastotermes darwiniensis termite species is active.

Repelling termites so that they are unlikely to use the frame and truss as a ‘highway’ to reach other parts of the building, Laserframe Terminator Red is also resistant to European House Borer.

Coloured using a red dye for ease of identification, lengths are also branded by way of an end tag or an inkjet stamp along the face or edge of the board.

Laserframe Terminator Red is a full sapwood treatment to ensure total protection. It is treated with Light Organic Solvent Preservative (LOSP) containing Permethrin, which is safe for humans and mammals. LOSP treated timber may have an initial solvent odour which fades as the solvent evaporates, usually dissipating by the commencement stage of building.

Features & Benefits

  • Termite Resistant – Laserframe Terminator Red is treated to Hazard Level H2 for use in internal, above ground framing applications Australia wide, including areas north of The Tropic of Capricorn
  • Favourable strength to weight ratio - kiln dried for improved stability
  • Quality Assured – lengths individually graded and tested for structural assurance
  • Compliant with Australian Standards

Ultra Groove

Shadowclad® Ultra Groove combines the look and versatility of traditional Natural Shadowclad products with the time and cost saving benefits of a performance undercoat.

The Ultra performance coating formulation creates a consistent and dependable undercoat that's perfect for immediate application of top coats on-site.

The Shadowclad Ultra Groove product features a vertical 9mm wide, 5mm deep groove profile every 150mm across the sheet.

Shadowclad® Ultra features a factory applied exterior grade performance coating. Using a unique powder coating process on the panel face and edges means Shadowclad Ultra panels can be immediately top coated on site, eliminating (in most cases) the need for expensive and time consuming wet primers.

H3 LOSP treated for vertical exterior applications, Shadowclad Groove features vertical 9mm wide grooves at 150mm centres across the face of the board.

The Ultra coating is suitable for use with most paint and film forming stain systems. Always refer to your local coating manufacturer for coating advice.

The Ultra performance coating has a high 60-80 microns average film build, and can be up to 2 to 3 times thicker than traditional wet primers. This provides the undercoat of a 3 coat (1 undercoat, 2 top coats) paint system.

  • Manufactured from sustainably grown plantation pine
  • Panels available in 2440mm and 2745mm lengths

Form Ply

Formrite® is a high quality plywood produced predominantly from graded Pinus radiata. Overlaid with a hard durable resin-impregnated paper, it has a smooth finish, and its hard phenolic surface and outer veneers make it both reusable and durable.

Glued with a phenol formaldehyde resin A-Type Marine bond, Formrite can withstand the rigours of construction moisture and with the addition of a cross-laminate construction it is also less likely to expand or contract when exposed to rain and temperature changes, making it an effective formply solution.

  • Multiple number of re-uses – subject to sheet care and maintenance
  • Suitable to modern optimised form systems such as table forms and jump forms
  • Applicable to a range of frame spacings, concrete slab thicknesses and surface tolerances
  • Provides builders and formworkers with an ideal surface for pouring concrete with a Class 2 concrete finish on the first pour
  • Can be used on steel or timber form frame systems
  • Lighter in weight than hardwood alternatives
  • FSC® certified (SA-COC-002970) on request
  • CHH Woodproducts installation guidelines and AS 3610 recommendations must be followed.

Ecoply Formrite formply is manufactured under a third-party audited quality control programme and is certified by the Engineered Wood Products Association of Australasia (EWPAA) as compliant with AS 6669 for Plywood – Formwork.

Ecoply Plygroove Lining is compliant with AS/NZS 2269 and is PAA JAS/ANZ accredited.

Plygroove is a structural plywood that is the only wood based panel material with design value under Australian and New Zealand timber engineering codes. Plygroove complies with the requirements of NZS 3604 and may be used in accordance with AS 1684.

Plygroove will last in excess of 50 years in dry interior spaces. In wet areas like kitchens, bathrooms or laundries, Plygroove should be protected from water by good quality paints or coatings.

Attack from common household borer is unlikely or will be at an acceptably low level provided the plywood is kept dry. For termite protection, Plygroove should be designed and maintained in accordance with AS 3660; however, for exposed situations Plygroove requires proper treatment to MP3640 or AS 1604.

Plygroove is supplied at the correct moisture content for interior use. It should be protected from dampness throughout delivery, storage on site and during construction. Plygroove has been tested for Early Fire Hazard properties. It can be used in any occupancy when the surface finish on the plywood has an index below that which is required.

Plywood has a thermal conductivity of 0.13 W/mK and adds 0.1 to the R value of wall or roof assemblies. In design the whole assembly including enclosed air and insulation should be considered
