Brettbrace - Lateral Bracing System 

Brettbrace is manufactured at Geebung by Bretts and is an engineered welded steel frame that can be used for a wide variety of lateral wall bracing.

Why use Brettbrace?

It is particularly useful where open plan architecture removes internal walls that ordinarily would have provided sufficient internal bracing.

How is it used?

Brettbrace is installed vertically within wall frames to achieve the structural integrity required for certification.

What’s it made of?

Brettbrace is manufactured using 2.0mm & 3.0mm hollow tube steel and 10mm plate.

What sizes does it come in?

Brettbrace is custom made to order at Bretts Geebung manufacturing site. Standard widths are 350mm, 450mm &600mm and height will obviously vary from frame to frame.

How much is it?

To keep things simple, we have uniformly priced Brettbrace in height ranges, so you pay one rate regardless of width.

Fixing Details

Hold down to slab - 4 x M16 Chemical anchors
Fixing to top plate - 2 x M12 Bolts
Fixing to frame - 2 x 12g at top bottom and nog line
