For over 100 years Bretts has been supplying timber and building materials to the Australian Construction industry.

The following article from the 1950's sums up Bretts long reaching influence and provides some insight on how Bretts have survived while most competitors have not.

"No commercial organisation has played a more important part in Queensland's development than Brett & Co. Pty Ltd. Since the 1920's the Brett organisation has been a major supplier to the building industry.

Logging camps throughout Queensland's vast timber tracts feed Brett's modern mills which produced sawn timber & plywood for Australian and overseas markets. Interstate coastal and overseas shipping disgorge their cargo onto Brett's wharves and into Brett's warehouses. Their joinery works, plumbing shop and hardware showrooms continually supply all manner of building requirements.

Brett's enterprise renders a year-round service to all phases of the buildimg industry and is invariably associated with every type of construction throughout the Commonwealth."
